A very nice example of this brooch, very crisp and detailed. This is a circular brooch with a thistle wreath. In the voided center, is the Sphinx sitting on a tablet inscribed "Egypt". Above the Sphinx is a scroll inscribed with the battle honor "Peninsula", and below the Sphinx is a scroll inscribed with the battle honor "Waterloo".
