The S470DX is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was produced in South Korea. The S470DX features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and special "S wave" position markers. Components include Ibanez Powersound pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and a ball-bearing pivot ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS2 tuning stabilizer. The S470 is an extremely similar model; the only apparent differences between the two models are that the S470 lacks the fretboard binding and has slightly different fretboard position markers. This is a vintage Ibanez model 1860, a wonderful es-175 copy by Ibanez from the ‘lawsuit’ era (1970s). This is a beautiful jazz guitar, capable of outstanding mellow jazz tones, it really has that jazz box tone and vibe to it and I think it’s time it went to a new player. It plays beautifully, it’s got such a great action, smooth feeling neck, no fret buzz or anything like that. There are some scratchy electronics, but this is only when adjusting volume or tone. This has been a great guitar but I am unfortunately moving so need to thin down my collection. Collection only from Tring
