A small carved green jadeite hardstone seal featuring a stylised foo dog/pixiu finial. The stone displays natural cloudy inclusions and internal veining characteristic of jadeite. The base is uncarved/blank, suitable for engraving or for use as a decorative scholar’s object. The carving is likely modern Chinese (20th century) with a smooth waxy surface and attractive colour variation between the finial and the seal block. Condition: Good overall condition with natural internal stone veins visible on the seal face. Light surface marks consistent with handling. No visible repairs.
