Poem of the River is the seventh studio album by Felt, remastered by Kevin Metcalfe and Lawrence for the 2022 edition. Originally released in 1987 on Creation Records, this album features six songs and runs for 27 minutes. The quality control of this album shines brightly, with the spartan minimalist pop of the tracks utilizing Lawrence's mumbled half-spoken vocals, swirling hammond organ, and deftly struck guitars to create giddyingly memorable and melodic effects. The music is strongly reminiscent of the Velvets in their quieter moments.
