  1. Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R ( 265/35 ZR20 (99Y) XL )

P Zero™ Trofeo R - The track is your road. An innovative ultra-low profile tyre, with asymmetric tread pattern. Designed for racetrack driving on dry asphalt. Developed to provide even greater performance - on the occasion of Track Days - when fitted to the most powerful vehicles such as Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Lamborghini, including the MY2012. With P Zero™ Trofeo R you can fully appreciate the performance of extreme vehicles in complete safety, especially on the track. In extreme conditions, typical of racetrack driving, it reacts with precision to commands. On dry asphalt, even in the most demanding sessions it ensures high levels of grip and constant trajectories. P Zero™ Trofeo R is not recommended for use in very wet track conditions. Specific for racetrack driving, it is approved for road use, enabling travel to the track. In the event of very wet asphalt, with the risk of aquaplaning, prudent driving at reduced speed is recommended. P Zero™ Trofeo R has brand new HAOF (highly aromatic oil free) compounds and a redesigned tread pattern that have produced extraordinary results: on the one hand, a notable improvement in stability and, above all lateral grip in the dry, on the other hand, a notable reduction in wear. Developed for the racetrack The asymmetric tread pattern is made of two areas: The inner area, together with the longitudinal grooves, responds to the critical issues of wet surfaces and aquaplaning. The wide central ribs ensure precise trajectories and alleviate the stress of accelerating and braking on the track. The transversal grooves with special pattern provide constant traction and assist braking. The wide circumferential grooves enable water drainage, therefore maintaining traction in the wet. The outer outer area ensures the required rigidity to cope with the stresses during cornering, typical of racetrack driving. The solid shoulder - similar to a slick but more rigid - maximise lateral grip when cornering at very high speed and quickly changing trajectory on the track whilst maintaining complete control.  This special mix of shape/functionality has enabled the achievement of very consistent performance.

  2. Pirelli P Zero Run Flat ( 275/35 R20 102Y XL MOE, with rim protection (MFS), runflat )

FASTER THAN YOUR MIND 'A milestone in the development of the Pirelli range, P ZERO™ has been chosen as original equipment for the most performance orientated and powerful models on the market. A reference point for the ultra high performance segment, it is characterised by an asymmetric tread pattern. Ideal for all top of the range sports and high-powered cars, it can also be considered for powerful mid-range vehicles.' Advantages: Enhanced handling performance for sports driving Safety and control in aquaplaning Best braking and traction performance Tyre description: It is a ultra high performance tyre, technologically the most advanced.A tyre designed for the most prestigious OE fitments on premium new models.Another milestone in a continuous story of succes. The new tread design offers superior handling and braking performance on both dry and wet surfaces. The new high grip coumpund with nano-composites in the perfect solution for an enhanced driving stability and sensitive steering control.Three wide longitudinal grooves ensure an high aquaplaning resistance, while the s-shaped sipesare deigned to reduce rolling noise. The external area with large, rigid blocks is the ideal support to exalt handling characteristics when driving on the limit. P Zero tires are Max Performance Summer tires derived from 100 years of Pirelli motorsport experience and developed for the drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes and high performance luxury sedans. Initially introduced as Original Equipment on the Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, the P Zero lineup also includes select replacement tire sizes. The P Zero, like all summer tires, is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.P Zero tires feature a special silica and carbon black tread compound that proves competent during the first few miles of driving when the tire is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout the tire's life. The tread compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric design in which the location and width of the circumferential and lateral grooves minimize deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear and acoustic comfort. Special nano-composites in the compound beneath the tread protect the carcass from deterioration and merge sport handling with ride comfort. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord that controls tire profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.

  5. Michelin Collection XWX ( 205/70 R14 89W )

The only radial tyre which could be fitted on the fastest cars in the world in the 70’s, the XWX gives these high speed vehicles outstanding road holding and remarkable grip. A construction designed to reach 300 kph (186 mph)The special features of the XWX mean that it gives remarkable performance, combining speed, driving pleasure and safety. The original design of its internal construction, together with its flexible carcass give exceptional comfort when travelling at very high speeds. Being a VR category tyre, the XWX can be used atspeeds in excess of 210 kph (131 mph) ; with a maximum speed of 270 kph (155 to 186 mph).Dream carsAt the end of the 60’s, Germany and Italy were the leaders in the European motorway development programme. They were also the main producers of cars which could reach speed in excess of 200 km/h, (124 mph). The wide asphalt strips and the absence of speed limits offered a privileged few the opportunity to make full use of theperformance of these 'super-cars' at speeds which would be unthinkable today.• The Lamborghini Miura (1966), Ferrari 365 (1965), Maserati Ghilbi (1966) ; de Tomaso Pantera (1970) and Porsche 911 Carrera RS (1972) were the undisputed stars, but the large German saloons like the Mercedes 300 SE 6,31 (1968) and BMW 3.0 SI (1971) also made a strong impression.• The French were also in the frame with the Citroën SM (1970) as were the British with the legendary Jaguar V12 E-Type (1970) and Aston Martin DBS (1967).Informed observers will note that this exceptional performance was achieved on tyresof the same width as those that fit today’s very sensible saloons.
