This doll is a reproduction of a French laughing jumeau doll made by Lilian Middleton in the 1986. It uses the SFBJ 236 mold and has the LM86 STOW marked on her head and LM on her bottom( see photo 5 and 6). Her head and arms are bisque and both move. Her body and legs are sculpted in smooth shining wood. All these parts are in good condition with no chips or cracks. Her legs are jointed at the tops so she can be posed sitting or standing. She is 14 inches tall and her label says her name is Tessa. Unfortunately her dress is showing signs of her 40years age with brown age spots and a small tear on the right hand side( see last photo) Her woollen under garments socks and shoes are fine. With some tlc to her dress she would make a great addition to any doll collection.
