Selling yhis fanastic lens as I have just bought the new f1.4 version. This is an amazingly good lens, Its small lightweght and sharp. It has a pull out lens hood, front cap, rear cap, Gobe uv filter and the leather case,and original box.

This is the first generation Leica Summicron in Leica M Mount. It has been serviced by Alan Starkie of Cameraworks in Bury. Mechanically it's perfect, optically the front element suffers from a lot of cleaning marks, giving the lens a hazy appearance when looked at. I believe these scratches will reduce contrast and increase glare. I've taken some very nice photos with it especially indoors on black and white it has a super dreamy look to it, with quite a bit of glow, however it is probably served best as a parts lens, the other elements are in great shape and it would be a great donor lens should you have a good front element to replace this one.
