A vintage original Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope with a working light source built in. A beautiful looking piece, used for many years in my grandfather's surgery. Appears to be in good working order but definitely in need of a deep and sympathetic clean by someone who knows what they're doing. There has been a homemade modification made to the top of the piece that I can only assume was for mounting a camera. No case but will be packaged securely for shipment

The microscope features a classic lacquered brass body with a rotating turret containing three objective lenses. It includes the original wooden carrying case, and appears to retain most of its original components including mirror, condenser, and focusing knobs.
