    The Lexicon PCM80 and PCM90 use an 18-bit CS5389-KP analogue-to-digital converter. The CS5390-KP is the 20-bit version of the CS5389-KP and works fine in all CS5389 applications. Presumably the better devices were just a bit more expensive back in the '90s!
