    Definitely a statement item of pottery. Very large vase. 32cm tall, 20cm diameter. In good vintage condition, it does has a tiny chip on the inside of the rim. (I am pointing to it, 1cm) The vase has the look of majolica with raised ducks , leaves & lilies. On the base it is marked with the numbers 249/1. Please take a look at my other items. Thank you.

    Wall vase from the art nouveau period, made in Europe, probably Germany or Austria. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, handmade and of excellent craftsmanship. It has a pattern of begonia leaves and flowers. Majolica plates in the shape of begonia leaves were popular during the preceding Victorian era; I suspect therefore that this is very early art nouveau.
