Vintage decorative reproduction of the 1626 Hondius map of New Spain, showing California, Mexico, the Gulf Coast, Florida, and the Caribbean. This piece is a real printed paper map that was hand mounted to a wood board and finished with a lacquered surface. The frame is solid wood and has a mid-century look. The back shows a C-D STRC INT Fortuna California plywood stamp, consistent with mid-century plywood used for decorative wall art from the 1950s–1970s. There is visible age wear including small chips, surface marks, and cracking in the lacquered layer. The piece still displays well and has an aged antique-style patina. See photos for close-ups of condition. Size: 27 inches tall × 21 inches wide including frame. Ships with care.
