Original WW2 RAF "SECRET" map of "PALERMO" (SICILY, ITALY). PALERMO was a vital Axis port for naval escorts for convoys to North Africa, with Italian and German operational air bases close by. RAF BOMBERS based in MALTA conducted the raids, and this map would have been used as part of the planning.
