It is auto focusing, auto exposing and auto advancing. It takes 4 1.5v AAA batteries. In a really clean condition and its fully functional (fitted and tried it out with batteries this morning. There is no corrosion in the battery housing, no perishing to the rubber seals, though l advise caution if using this underwater after all these years, but of course that decision is up to you. ).
