A really nice antique 1890's American folk art hand painted mirror with butterfly and floral designs. Notice how the frame and the mirror are painted with the design. The front panels are about 7/16" thick solid wood with 3/4" reinforcement frame on the back with tapered edge wooden backer panel. The bevel edge mirror is in very good condition with very minor wear and reflects very nicely. I took the mirror apart and shimmed up the edges of glass so it centers nicely, In the back there was a page of newspaper from 1893. I added new screws as most original were rusted and deteriorated with only a few remaining. I moved the hanging wire as I like the design shown at this angle better. You can move the wire and hang it any way you wish, even diamond shaped.
