Here it is. The start of French impressionism! This is the painting which ended up giving the artistic movement its name: "Impression, Sunrise" by Claude Monet. It looks like this is 1980s or early 1990s framing. The print has been oh-so-carefully matted with that orange inner strip meant to complement the morning sun rising. Just a lovely example of a superior presentation of a landmark moment in art history. This measures approximately 16 in by 14 in (frame). You are not likely to encounter this print framed more attractively anywhere. I will include some fascinating information about the history of this work.
