The Lever Cap has been cast with the original owners initials, HP. This shows the quality of this plane. If this is a genuine Norris plane, this could explain why the Lever Cap is not marked with Norris.

Body of the plane has the typical NORRIS chamfer detail, stamped on nose is NORRIS LONDON whilst on heel is unbreakable and a number #6. The number #6 also on top of wedge, the wedge has a boxwood slip on bottom edge probably as iron is not original to the plane, the iron sits and sets tight to the mouth, a good user plane.

Has a nice thick (4.5 mm) good quality parallel I. Sorby iron which may or may not be original but is a great match for this plane as it gives a very fine mouth. Lovely pre war (WWI) plane with rosewood Infills.
