This plane has been dropped and then repaired with a weld and brass plates either side. The total weight of the plane is 4.3 kilograms.

Early Norris A2 infill smoothing plane. Dovetailed steel construction with a gunmetal lever cap, one of the less common models. Clean and well presented in good condition. The original parallel iron has been replaced with a Mawhood Sheffield cast steel iron. Part of a cherished collection from my late uncle who was a trained cabinet maker and curator at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool. Please see my listings for other items from this collection.
