7/16 wide black typewriter ribbon for Oliver No. 5 typewriters. The earliest Oliver typewriters were designed to use a 7/16” wide ribbon. When installed in early Oliver models ½’ ribbons don’t pass through the ribbon vibrator correctly—they have a tendency to fold and/or fray the edges of the ribbon.

The keys appear to move freely. The two red ones on left appear to be locked in place, so not sure how to release them. The case has wear. One of the spools has part missing but doesn’t affect it and these can easily be replaced.
