I love wondering around in my woods and use any excuse I can to go outside. I have always liked the woods. As a child my best friend and I would always camp in the woods and "live off the land". Eating what fish we caught or small game we were able to harvest. I guess this love of the outdoors has translated to hunting, fishing, and camping in my Adult years. I enjoy the primitive methods of archery and have experienced making a bow or two. I realized after making my second bow that the osage orange I use is premium quality even when compared to other woods of this type. The back part of my property is a "forest" setting where the Osage will send out a shoot straight and fast to try to catch that small ray of sunlight coming through the hole in the canopy. These are the best and straightes.
