A vintage GPO/BT outdoor telephone double bell unit. Marked with ‘64D FHR60’ on the back. Tested and fully functional. The base plate is universal and was made so that different sized gongs could be fitted. Adjustment of the bell gongs is by rotation of the gongs. Produced by GEC and introduced around 1939 and available until the late 1980's. Still has original black paint and a fair amount of rust. It measures 18.5cm from top to bottom and 14cm across the widest point. In good used condition although hubby welded a new donger as it was missing. It has lovely patina from years of being outdoors.
