Creative Paperclay is neither a clay nor a paper-mache. It's a non-toxic, air-drying, natural white, modeling material that is ready to use out of the package. It's very pliable and is easily shaped, sculpted and moulded while moist. It has a very fine grain that takes detail extremely well. Adheres easily to wood, canvas and most surfaces without glue. Shrinks approximately 5-7% from the size it is when it's moist. After it air dries, it's very lightweight and durable and can be cut and sanded like wood. Dry pieces may be coloured with any type of paint. Creative Paperclay contains paper pulp, glue, filler, water and other ingredients. The filler is a specially processed volcanic ash that makes it unique and provides for a lightweight, durable finished product. Made in Japan.

Condition clay and roll onto a tile surface, lay your image face down onto your unbaked clay, gently smooth into place with your fingers to remove any air bubbles, then let it rest for 30 min. Run under a gentle stream of water in your sink, you can use a light touch with your finger to gently coax off the remaining fibres, being careful not to remove your image.
