Presenting an exceptional a vintage game pie dish / lidded tureen. This delightful piece is beautifully decorated with a traditional pattern resembling the iconic antique Wedgwood caneware pieces. A relief design featuring game birds suspended from draped garlands of fruiting grapevines stylishly surrounds the impressive form. Matching motifs adorn the original lid while a beautifully modelled central rabbit finial forms a delightful figural knob. Decorative relief trims resembling woven caneware trims the edges of the body, perfectly completing this exquisite vintage example.
