The needle (the catridge) as you can see is a Pioneer, but is a used one, you can bet it was really busy in the 80's. I have no idea if the catridge is the one belonging to the PL550 OR to a PL600 I had or to another PIONEER turntable, since I can hear the music it is still functionable in a way.
