A antique pith helmet unsure of its age, could be from anytime in the 1900s possibly 1940s upwards?. As seen by the photos it’s missing the top and has clearly been painted white at somepoint in the past (could have been for ceremonial purposes?) has no inner as seen by the photos also. It has the name “Roland” inscribed inside possibly put there by the original owner?. Feel free to message me with any further questions/inquiries :)

It is good original condition with a very good leather headband, nicely stamped. I have tried to be very accurate with my details - I have not used AI on any of it, to make sure it is correct and you know exactly what you are buying.

It features the distinctive swept brim and six-panel crown construction, with ventilation eyelets and a stitched cotton “puggaree” band. The underside of the brim is painted dark green to reduce sun glare—typical of this pattern from the 1930s onward.
