  4. Wooden Brick From New Orleans Sidewalk. Great Condition

After the huge fire at the Jackson JAX brewery warehouse in 1971, the last remaining wood sidewalk bulkled from the water used to extinguish the fire. A friend and I decided to save 6 bricks before the city replaced that section of sidewalk. To my knowledge the six were the only ones saved. One of mine went to a collector in Atlanta and Im keeping one. This is a great conversation piece of history of New Orleans. Its 4x4x10 and weighs 4.5 lbs. I will provide a written description of how these were "rescued" since the statute of limitations has long expired.

Joseph Hamblet West Bromwich coping stones. These are railway anti slip platform edge coping stones. Produced around c.1880 onto railway platform in golden valley. These are nearly 150 years old and are not made anymore. I real gem of history. Looking for a new home after sitting dormant for decades. I think they would make great coping stone again. Perhaps on a ha-ha or placed back to back to create a path. They are very heavy and well made at approx 20kgs each. They are priced by the pallet at 14 per pallet. Collection from HR3 or message for quote on delivery. They have been cleaned of mortar. Price includes VAT. Any questions about heritage or anything else please get in touch.
