Late Georgian / early Victorian cast iron hob grate front panel with ornate floral detail on the side sections and scrollwork to the lower bar. Recently refurbished, this involved stripping the piece back to bare metal, before protecting with two coats of Liberon iron polish and buffing to a dark graphite grey, which really highlights the detail (could be buffed to a higher shine, or blacked with another coat and not buffed). Mounting loops on rear. The item measures: Height of top bar 47.5cm Height of side panels 46.5cm Width 53/53.5cm Other hob grate fronts along with period and reproduction fireplaces and surrounds also available, please see my other listings. Collection from Heanor DE75.

They have a vertical row of what I believe could be bluebell design flowers to the front. The bolts that hold the steel to the brass are approx 14mm or equivalent imperial size. Due to the size they would be suitable for a chateau country Farmhouse or mansion type property of character.

There is a porcelain disc on the inside which reads "R. A. Lister & Co.Ltd. Dursley England'. A pair of Antique Fire Bellows. I am not too sure of the exact date they were made, but I would suggest that they may possibly date from between 1900-1920, or possibly earlier / later.
