Incomplete Victorian cast iron tiled combination fireplace. Missing grill and damper plate, damaged grate. Original tiles in poor condition on the edges as it appears to have been sandblasted with them in situ. Easy refurb project as previously sandblasted so only surface rust to remove, unlike many that have years of layers of paint built up. An excellent quality Victorian cast iron fireplace with slate surround. Removed from the bedroom of Tegfan, a listed building, built at the same time and with the same quality materials and workmanship as the iconic north Wales landmark “ The Marble Church” in Bodelwyddan. It was original to the property which was completed in 1858. The first photo is from the sister fireplace, exactly the same, which remains in situ. The fireplace has been removed and is complete.
