  3. Hasami Porcelain Art Mug Mug 3: Artist_Ran Tondabayash

Product Details Porcelain has been manufactured in Hasami, Nagasaki, Japan for over 400 years. Hasami Porcelain was created from the fusion of tradition and modernity for practical, yet beautiful homeware To mark ten years since the founding of Hasami porcelain tableware, the project 'ART MUG' was launched to explore new possibilities for art and mugs with a collaboration by Japanese artists. The base is a medium-sized mug (white body) Mug 1: Artist_ Yuichi Yokoyama: The design of the mug is from a cartoon called 土木⑤, which was published 20 years ago in a magazine called “広告” and was about modern architecture Mug 2: Artist_Yuji Kamiyama: Every morning, the sound of a coffee grinder wakes me up. Pouring the first cup and a coffee pot to drink while drawing in the studio. In the afternoon I turn the grinder in the studio and prepare for two cups. Mug 3: Artist_Ran Tondabayash Mug 4: Artist_Haruna Kawai: I scattered the motifs so that the view changes depending on the direction in which they are placed. I thought it would be good if I could create a moment when the view suddenly changes at the dining table, at your work desk or in any other environment where you can use it. The patterns are part of a series I have been working on in recent years called chips, in which I am exploring the smallest form of the act of assembling and fixing a flat form into a three-dimensional form. This is the medium sized Hasami mug equivalent to HPB20.  A collectors items if your love Hasami.  Easily stackable with other Hasami mugs, cups, bowls, plates, and lids ((3.3/8'' diameter) for convenient storage, effortless serving, and easy handling Please read before purchase: Hasami Porcelain is made from a traditional blend of clay and porcelain that is subject to unavoidable variations in colour, called 'staining', as well as differences in texture. With use, they are also prone to natural staining. These variations are completely normal and are not deemed defective; in fact, it is considered integral to its beauty.
