Inside each speaker are Kef constructor components. T27A tweeters, B110 sp1057 base units and 110012a crossover boards. Most wear is on the top of boxes. I believe the cabinets are from a pair of Sonotone speakers.

The only images I could find of any LS3/5a's with XLR inputs on the rear were manufactured by ROGERS. Obviously, coming with XLR inputs only, these were used for studio use. The cabinets have been painted a "nice" shade of blue - probably to match the decor in whatever BBC studio/suite they were in.
