This is a pair of large Satsuma vases from the first part of the 20th century. They are decorated with traditional motifs. There are panels of men on one side and won on the other. There are large peach blossoms in panels on the sides. The scenes are painted in polychrome enamels with the applications of gold that are bold and dramatic. The patterns are a visual delight , a mixture of lines and geometric shapes flowers and raised dots give life and texture to the painting. Condition: very good for age and normal use.
