Asking for around £6750. Engraving is sharp, excellent player, had a full service and set up from Dawkes Music, UK about 3 years ago who also carried out a slight solder repair to the top F key. Apart from that it doesn't need any work doing to it at all.

FREE WORLDWIDE EXPRESS POSTAGE. This is a vintage Selmer MKVI alto saxophone from 1954. It has the very rare SC neck (also sometimes referred to as the double S neck), and a serial number of bang on 56,000. It is in brilliant condition, and as you can see from the pearls, key cups etc, the horn has been well looked after and has not had a huge amount of play. No soldering jobs, no damage, and the neck has a great angle and has never had any pull down. It does need a full overhaul to be in playing condition. I believe it is a very early factory relacquer judging by the dark honey colour of the lacquer and the sharpness of the engraving. Comes with the original wooden end plug and case.

If you buy one new it will set you back around 5k. This is in as good condition as I’ve ever seen a 36 year old saxophone, it’s as new, so here’s an opportunity to grab a bargain. These are so popular they are still in production- both Jazz and Classical players like them.

I think this is a great choice for those who prioritize cost performance over appearance. This was previously owned by a professional golfer in Sendai.
