Up for auction today is a vintage, c.1970, "Horny Diver" scuba diving jacket patch. This is a neat 4" x 3" cheesecloth patch. This patch is in nice shape, but the back will need to be cleaned up a bit as it has paper/glue residue on the backside. YouTube has several remedies for doing this, but I just do not have the time (continue reading and you will understand why). This patch is from a MASSIVE 1000+ patch, one-of-a-kind company sales catalog, from the Swiss Craft Embroidery Company that used to be located at 934 W. North Avenue in Chicago. These custom batches were limited to 25-50-100 pieces. Whenever an order was produced, one patch was saved to the sample catalog with all of the correct stitch & thread numbers for their next order.
