Here is a 1960 83k mkvi tenor in good used condition. The horn has been well taken care of and as you can see from the key cups and pearls it has not had a huge amount of play in its life. The lacquer is non original but looks to me like a factory lacquer as the colour is a dark honey colour and the engraving is clear. The pads are old and the horn could do with an overhaul, but It still plays as is, and has a huge, very compact, and warm sound that is typical to good mid 80k MKVIs. The result is an instantly recognisable sound in a sax that is a joy to play. In good condition but could do with a service. Case works fine but note that the zipper clip has fallen off (still works with a makeshift fix in place and saxophone is fully protected).
