I can't date it exactly but the model was produced for the UK market from the 1960's onwards. The guitar does have a zero fret, quite a rare feature, and the fretboard I'm pretty sure is rosewood. The sunburst finish is beautiful and the woodgrain on the top is particularly nice.

It can happen when you play live. Other cables which use 'spring cable relief (basically a spring stuck out of the plug) tend to lose the spring quickly, then the lead is very easy to rip away from the plug.
