The mug was made in Birmingham by William Suckling Ltd and dates to 1929. The hallmarks, on the outside of the body near the handle, are nice and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter E for 1929 and the S Ld makers' mark for William Suckling Ltd.
