PAIR TELESCOPIC CANDLESTICKS OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE GEORGE III c1810 ROBERTS CADMAN Dimensions: 225mm tall extended (8.75 inches); 170mm tall collapsed Hallmarks for Roberts, Cadman & Co Condition: Good overall. The telescopic function on one candlestick is loose and it drops easily, it can be twisted into a position where it holds better but may need some attention. The other stick has an indentation where the column has gone slightly into the capital (see photo 9). Dings, dents, surface scratches, light tarnishing and warm copper tones bleeding through. This pair of antique silver plated over copper candlesticks dating to around 1830 in the ornate Rococo revival style and with hefty weighted bases. Measuring 32cm tall and weighing around 3.3kg they are in excellent condition with just minor wear and tear from age and use, some wear to the silver plating, and old polish worked into the design; they make a very decorative pair of 200 year old candlesticks.
