The toast rack was made in Sheffield by Atkin Brothers and dates to 1924. The firm manufactured both silverware and electroplate in Sheffield and also had a London showroom. They ceased trading in 1958.

Heavy & substantial antique sterling silver toast rack by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co (William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman), hallmarked from London in 1898. Engraved to the opposite end bar from the hallmarks with 'From Captain F J Carruthers 1898, on doing quick research Captain Carruthers served with the KOSB(King's Own Scottish Borderers).

They both have ball feet, I can’t see any makers marks so presuming they are EPNS. The larger one is 11cm wide and 12cm high including the handle The smaller is a bit bent and is 10cm x 8.5cm
