In the rituals of the first civilizations, it burned as a sacred offering, transporting dreams and prayers towards the divine. The harvest period is from November to February; during this period, the bark of the trees is incised to allow the resin to drip. After a few days, the resin hardens, forming gum, which is then ready for the extraction of the essential oil.
