This is a 2009 Squier Strat (serial number CY9 ) which I would describe as ‘aged’! The white plastics have yellowed nicely, giving it the look of an older guitar. A really nice player - low action, lovely neck, all the right Strat sounds!

This Squire Bullet body by Fender was manufactured in Japan. The original sunburst finish has been sanded off. An undercoat has been applied and several layers of black paint added over the course of a year (when the temperature has been suitable).
