The stones are on a wire, not string or cord. It is over 10oz in weight and the weight is not from the nuts. The turquoise colored beads… I do not know for sure if they are genuine turquoise. They are cold to the touch. They do NOT appear dyed and I can not get color off of them. But they are all very very similar in size. Either way the necklace is awesome.
