The enthusiastic may get around to adding mass loading (lead shot and/or sand) to the hollow base. Tannoy supplies one, which we used, but the choice of alternatives is rather limited. Injection moulding forms the main driver’s 120mm plastic cone, allowing thickness to be varied to optimise mass/stiffness.

lovely speakers super sound. no front grills but better without. not loud but good bass and superb trebble. please use as biwire better. one tweeter crumpled but works ok too. you can buy if your desperate hehe. i think about 90 watts I think 6 ohms too. sound better on glass stands also. super sound. i paid £97 but now £42 bid start, must collect from me also. happy bidding folks jeff
