It is worth noting that TEAC supplied several different 24V DC motors in this format with the EM1446 or EM1450 model numbers, with the EM1450 appearing towards the end of the tape era. It can of course also be used on single direct decks, however if you have a single direction deck, you can probably save a little by buying a motor that's intended for single direction use, providing of course it's been serviced correctly.
