Material seems like acrylic but not 100% sure. No original box was given as a gift. The slant can be adjusted at the back has x5 adjustments. In order to keep the stand flat there is Velcro behind the silver metal adjustments and the resting page holder at the bottom can be removed as shown in the picture. Minor defect shown in last few pictures of the black foam attached has some scuff marks but still brand new and in excellent condition.
