The excellent antenna picks up your router's Wi-FI signal and retransmits it (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands) so that your laptop or phone can now access your Wi-Fi connection even in rooms where the signal strength was patchy before. What I like best about this model is that you can also connect to your laptop by ethernet cable for even faster speed - this was great for business calls when I was working from home, in a room which I couldn't wire to my router's ethernet.
