Shipping is free for this 1957 U.S. $1 Silver Certificate Bank Note w/Blue Seal. This $1 Note is in fair condition and shows more than normal wear from its circulation. The Note design is similar to today's likeness except the "Silver Certificate" bar at the top of the Note meant that it could be redeemed for its silver value from the U.S. Treasury. However, this does not occur today. 1957 was the last year that the U.S Mint issued "Silver Certificates". Starting in 1958 the bills were designated as "Federal Reserve Notes". This $1 Note was part of a private collection for decades and is now being offered for sale to the public. Shipping will occur within three days after completion of the transaction.
