Good condition camcorder can be used to playback Video8 and Hi8 camcorder tapes. The camcorder does, happily, work plugged into the mains so you can use it as a playback machine to watch your old tapes on the TV, copy over onto a suitable DVD recorder or transfer into your PC if you have the suitable analog to digital hardware.
