Having said that, if I don’t get what I want for it I’d be delighted to keep it. A very nice and very special example of its type. It looks to be scratch built sitting on a turned aluminium base. I’m of the opinion, based on the surface finish, the aeroplane is made from solid aluminium, the stem looks to be steel and the base is almost certainly aluminium.

A vintage model Bi-plane. Made from painted cast metal alloy. The displayed insignia indicates this is a French military aircraft from the early 20th Century. I have been unable to identify the particular aircraft but is possibly WW1 or inter war period. A very nice but visibly distressed model. The structural condition is good. The propeller rotates but is loose enough to fall out if tipped forward. There is obvious paint loss as shown in the images.
