This is a very rare Burmese glass Mt Washington half shade. The glass is yellow to pink and entirely hand painted on the outside with apple blossoms on branches. The glass glows under black light. The shade measures 10 1/4" one direction and 10 1/8 the other. It is 5.5" tall. This shade was used on a spider and not a ring. Burmese is one of the rarest Victorian art glass shades produced. The shade is exceptionally well painted, and the condition is near mint with no chips or cracks or wear to the painted surface.
