This is certainly a been there, done it salty set. There is plenty of character to this helmet set. WW2 Front seam fixed bail originally, heat stamp looks to be 242A, around September - October 1942. The shell has clearly been repainted, but this paint has some age to it as well, and a private rank is still very visible under. It has been re-issued with swivel bails (common with broken fixed bails) and now sports a late, most likely post war T1 chinstrap. The liner is a Westinghouse WW2 as well, mid war with steel A washers. The name Scott is written at the bottom. It has a post war sweatband. Feel free to contact

This is an original MkIV British turtle helmet dated to 1945. Although the MkII and MkIII British helmets were more common during the war, the MKIVs were introduced in 1945 and saw late war service. This particular example retains about 50% of its green paint on the exterior, which I believe was most likely applied post war as there are hints of another green underneath. The chinstrap is in very good condition, fully flexible and the liner has no tears either. Feel free to ask questions

The heat stamp is 165B, dating it to early 1942. The liner is a nice green buckle International Molded Plastics one, which dates it around 43-early 44. The sweatband is a later war brass example, presumably replaced by Chester after extensive use.
