Our Quartz-Sand veneer is a reconstituted stone veneer manufactured in Italy from crushed Italian marble dust. Black Wave boasts a beautiful undulating pattern in classic monochrome. The contrasting tones subtly transform when illuminated. The natural stone top surface is backed with a fabric mesh backing making the sheets light weight, flexible and easy to process. The material is translucent and can be back lit so the same sheets can be used for both back lighting and non back lighting projects. The top surface is a soft semi-smooth finish giving a subtle and tactile natural feel. The sheets are easy to process and can be cut with a Stanley knife/blade. Be careful to use the correct adhesive and apply the adhesive correctly to avoid being able to see the adhesive behind the sheets. For adhering the sheets in back lighting projects you can use our Lite stone adhesive for translucent stone veneer. For non back lighting projects you can use our Lite Stone slate & stone veneer adhesive, this adhesive must be spread with a spreader tool.
